W. E. Richards:
The company was established in 1900 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Richards worked primarily in 10k-14k gold plated and gold filled pieces, but also worked in gold and sterling silver, and used high quality materials such as cultured pearls, semi-precious gemstones, and imported crystal. The most revered pieces are those designed in the Edwardian and Art Deco eras. Jewelry was stamped WRE, wRe, or Symmetalic along with a purity mark.
METAL:
12k Yellow Gold Filled *Gold Filled pieces have karat gold mixed in with the base metal. With plated jewelry, the gold is applied over top of base metal and is subject to wearing off.

with minor surface metal wear noticeable on very close inspection. The metal is very shiny & reflective, so any wear is hard to see. Please view all photos to judge for yourself keeping in mind that they’re high def Canon pics which exaggerate any blemishes that may be present.
