    Description

    This is a 1950s vintage promotional advertising giveaway from the "Press-Telegram" newspaper in Long Beach (including Lakewood), California. The item is a booklet "somewhat resembling" a comic book, titled "2 Guys From Chicago Visited Long Beach, California," measures 4 5/8" x 5 1/2", illustrated, red/black, 16 pages, complete, and focuses on potential advertising for the retail supermarket industry. The "Two Guys From Chicago" depicted are two actual real life executives from the ad agency "Foote Cone & Belding"; and the southern California grocery stores identified include: Vons, Dollar, Mayfair, Hiram's Market, McDaniels, Iowa Pork Shops, Coles, Thriftimart, Market Basket, and Boy's Market.
    Condition:
