    Peter Briant (New Orleans). Vibrant original watercolor, signed lower left. #8 in the artist's Tour Mexico '83 exhibition. Matted and framed. Measures 30 1/4 x 24 in. Sight: 19 3/4 x 13 7/8 in. Artist's embossed title-card and 16 1/4 x 9 1/2 exhibition poster mounted at back. Peter Briant is an artist whose works have been exhibited around the world. His paintings are a reflective combination of his lifelong love affair with his native New Orleans and his extensive travels. Briant studied architecture at Tulane University and then went on to receive his degree in Fine Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi. Although the concentration of his work is of the Old South, many also depict settings from England, Ireland, Mexico, and France. Briant has exhibited in New York City's prestigious Salmagundi Club, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Adirondacks National Museum of American Watercolors.
