Made of 3 delicately carved yak bone slips and 24 small yak bone circle beads in
vintage style
. The center larger arch rectangle shaped slip carved with
Buddha eye
, for the size around 52 * 17 mm (arch length * width), and the two side slips adorned with Tibetan Auspicious symbols as well. There are two lines of small yak bone donut circle beads on both sides of the 3 slips (total 24 such circles of 6 mm diameter). To make a symbol, the craftsman first cut the yak bone into small blocks and then sand them down by hand; then the yak bone is dyed a dark brown using tea; the last step is to hand carve the symbol onto it. Making such a yak bone slip requires a long and tedious process.
In Buddhist tradition, that oneness of vision, that unfragmented vision, that total vision, that whole vision, is called Buddha-eye. And whatsoever is seen through Buddha-eye is Buddha-cognition. When you have the Buddha-eye, you look at life with that one vision, it unites everything, thus you are able to know fully, not before that. Before that, your knowledge is always partial.
