is a type of Celtic brooch worn as a clothes fastener by
Scottish elites during the medieval period. During Queen VictoRia's reign, Scottish jewellery was made popular by her frequent visits to Balmoral Castle in the highlands of Scotland. Brooches were made to give the look of earlier pieces.
