A stunning vintage diamante brooch, sparkling with dozens of pave paste-glass stones. Dates to the 1910-1920s era; fresh from an outstanding local estate collection. Skillfully hand-crafted, with a bold form & a unique, hand-chased & pierced asymmetrical design. The diamante stones are exquisitely hand-faceted and, like tiny mine-cut diamonds, they flash with an astounding brilliance when held to light. The shimmering stones are all very carefully set, with several at charmingly rakish angles. Good to very good condition; measures 2" high by 1.5" wide by 1/8" thick & the pave crystals range from 1 mm - 2.5 mm wide. Freshly polished & ready for wear. Here for sale is a stunning
vintage diamante brooch, sparkling with dozens of
pave
paste-glass stones. Dates to the 1910-1920s era; fresh from an outstanding local estate collection. Skillfully hand-crafted, with a bold form & a unique, hand-chased & pierced asymmetrical design. The diamante stones are exquisitely hand-faceted and, like tiny mine-cut diamonds, they flash with an astounding brilliance when held to light. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what type of metal the setting is made from, as there is no hallmark visible, though it does gleam brightly like silver. It appears to be a relatively soft metal and, as far as I can tell, doesn't seem to be plated. The shimmering stones are all carefully set, with several at charmingly rakish angles.
The brooch is in good to very good condition for its age, with the only flaw
s being four missing stones & some gentle
surface scratching, mostly to the reverse side
. It measures 2" high by 1 1/2" wide by 1/8" thick; the pave crystals range from 1 mm to 2.5 mm in diameter. The brooch comes nestled in a slightly later velvet-lined box. Carefully stored & treasured by the previous owner, a wealthy local philanthropist & world traveler, the brooch is freshly polished & ready for wear or display.

I strive for the greatest accuracy in all of my listings. I double-check each and every measurement -especially when dealing with vintage clothing or artwork- and post only photos in which the colors appear just as they do in real life.
Rest assured all items are guaranteed to be exactly as I have pictured and described them.
Vintage clothing sizes often differ markedly from contemporary clothing sizes. (i.e., a 1930s "Large" may be closer to a modern Small or Medium. To that end, I require that bidders purchasing vintage clothing must accurately know their correct clothing measurements in standard US measurement sizes.
At my discretion, a refund in full or part may be granted if I have inadvertently made a highly significant error in the item description and/ or photos.
In such circumstances, refunds will be considered only for buyers with more than 10 visibly excellent feedback ratings- following the safe return of said item. Buyers with "Private" feedback must make their feedback ratings visible before any manner of refund is granted.
