    Here is a really neat, circa 1909 era advertising plate with a picture of little chicks in a basket titled "THEIR FIRST DAY".  It has in gold leaf below that DELAWARE STATE BANK DEPOSITS GUARANTEED CAPITAL STOCK ,000.00 THE FIRST IN THE FIELD. DELAWARE, OKLA.  Above the picture on the upper part reads in gold leaf N.M. COONS, PRES. HUGH BRANSON, VICE PRES. W.G. COULTON CASHIER.  It has a chip as pictured.  The gold leaf is very readable it is just somewhat hard to read with the discolored background.  It looks like the bank was chartered in 1909 and the people on the plate were listed as officers according to a 1912 Gast Paul Directory of Bankers.  They probably had this plate made shortly after opening in order to advertise their business with giveaways.
