These earrings would be great for that upcoming Christmas party or Christmas dinner.
Estate Emerald and Diamond earrings in 14kt yellow gold 9.48ctw with omega backs weighing 8.8 grams.
I don’t know anything about these earrings but that I got them through an estate.
There are 66 Emeralds and they measure approximately 5.8 x 2.2mm’s. I just happen to have a marquis cut Emerald in my collection and it measures 5.2 x 2.5mm’s and weighs 0.13 carat. So I took that figure and timed it by 66 Emeralds which gave me 8.58 carats approximately. The center line of bigger diamonds measure approximately 2.2mm’s and there are 8 total which according to the National Gem Conversion chart is .05pts each timed by 10 diamonds
is approximately .50ctw. There are 2 rows of 10 smaller diamonds on each side of one earring that measures 1.8mm’s and the National Gem Conversion chart lists that size at .025, times 20 total is approximately .40pts.
So the diamond weight is approximately .90ctw and are clean diamonds that I’m guessing “G” on the color.
If I’m calculating the Emerald and Diamond weight correctly, it should be around 9.48 carat total weight.
They drop just over an inch off the ear. Please look at all the pictures for description.
They are beautiful earrings and the Emeralds are a really good green that a person would desire in there Emeralds.
