Sale Description:
•
This is an
Extremely Rare
Heinrich & Co. - H & C
Mid-Century "Anmut" #17731 Ivory Bone Colored Coffee Pot / Teapot with Gold Daisy Accents
from Selb, Bavaria, Germany
.
•
Heinrich & Co. - H & C began as porcelain painters in 1896, evolved into a manufacturer in 1903, and eventually was sold to Villeroy and Boch in 1976.
•
The Anmut design was developed by Heinrich & Co. - H & C and the shapes were used by them with a number of different decoration patterns throughout the Mid-Century period
.
•
While many of the Heinrich decoration patterns are fairly common, this particular pattern (#17731) we have only seen listed online once before and in a smaller sized teapot
.
•
As this is an older piece, close to seventy years old, it has some extremely light wear as would be expected; including one very tiny abrasion scrape beneath the handle that is not noticeable and minimal wear to the gold trim on the handle
.
•
This piece has no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs!
•
We have listed this as a teapot, however, it is large enough to serve coffee as well.
•
With a height of 8 inches, a diameter of 7 1/4 inches, a length of 12 1/2 inches, a weight of 1 pound 12 ounces (unboxed), and a capacity of 8 cups (64 fl. ounces) this outstanding porcelain creation is a masterpiece of ceramic art and unique in both its modernistic simplicity and the distinctiveness of its design.
•
The underside of the pot is stamped in green with the "H&Co SELB BAVARIA GERMANY
Heinrich
" Crown Porcelain Mark and the "
Anmut
" Design Name
.
•
The underside of the lid is stamped in green with the "
Heinrich
" over "PORZELLAN" Porcelain Mark and impressed on the underside of lid edge with the Form Number, "K.K 12 P"
.
•
This item has been well cared for in a smoke free and pet free environment, it is in
Excellent Condition without the Original Box.
•
We have inspected this piece for damages, and unless listed as otherwise, the item is in perfect condition.
