Description
This auction is for a Heinrich & Company Lidded Tureen made in the Jugendstil or Art Nouveau period. I do not know the pattern name. The mark on the base was used from about 1905-1911. The tureen features a lovely Art Nouveau design of green and gold applied to white porcelain china. The piece measures 13 inches from outer handle to outer handle and about 7 1/4 inches in width, and stands about 6 inches from base to top of the handle. This soup tureen is in good vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, stains, scratches, utensil marks, or repairs. There is wear to gold trim on the handles, and lid rim (see all photos). Shipping to all United States addresses is through the USPS as Priority Mail, or through Fed Ex Ground, your choice at checkout. I use the Global Shipping Program to ship to all eligible international countries, at applicable rates and fees, paid by the international buyer. No international returns. Please review my eBay feedback and bid with confidence.Jugendstil
("Youth Style") was an artistic movement
that was influential primarily in Germany, and elsewhere in Europe, from about 1895 until about 1910.
It was the German counterpart of Art Nouveau. The Heinrich & Co. operated from about 1896 to 1970. At its peak, in 1930, it had 300 employees.
