Magnificent Art Nouveau GRIFFON SASH PIN w/  AMETHYST PURPLE Bezel Set CRYSTAL

Antique, late Victorian or Art Nouveau era,
magnificent
3-1/8"" x 1-7/8"
heavy brass Sash Pin with an incredible winged GRIFFON or DRAGON and a large bezel set faceted curved amethyst purple stone.  The Griffon's eye is a  tiny  green stone.
The faceted  purple crystal,   possibly  Czech or Swarovski,  looks very real!
Very well made, with a basic c-clasp closure and a very strong
sharp
2-5/8" pin made to penetrate thick fabric. The pin is springy and closes securely. As you can see in the pictures, the brass is curved or arched to stand out and accomadate thick fabric.
In overall very good to excellent condition. The brass craftsmanship and details are exceptional. Only a few  spots and  a small  worn area on the edge of one wing.
The bezel set  purple stone feels a bit loose, but it is securely set .
The face of the stone has several tiny scattered nicks and fine scratches,  and there are 3 deeper scratches on the reverse. The nicks and fine scrathes are hard to see in the pictures, but the scratches on the back are clearly shown in a picture.  The scratches do not show through  to the front.
