    sarcophagus lid
    , the image of which represents Pakal being reborn as the Maize God.  Pakal
    was the ruler of
    Palenque, one of the most beautiful of Mayan cities.
    This wonderful print was made by a very talented artist by the
    name of Genaro Abelar.
