    Description

This is a made-in-Mexico, wood framed print of Poncho Villa.  Jose Doroteo Arango Arambula, better known by his pseudonym, Francisco Villa or his nickname Pancho Villa, was one of the post prominent Mexican Revolutionary generals, responsible for driving dictator, Portfirio Diaz out of power.  Many consider his photograph hanging in their home or business as a sort of good-luck charm. He was born in 1878 in San Juan del Rio, Durango, Mexico and assassinated in 1923 in Parrall, Mexico.  His battles in Northern Mexico were captured in photographs and film, including film by Hollywood.
Overall, with the frame, it measures 19 1/2" x 13 1/2" x 1/2".  The frame is unique in that it is made of red, stained pine and then covered completely (frame and print) with a heavy resin finish (like a bar top).  That should make it safe to hang outside under a veranda.  There may be some tiny air pockets under the resin here or there.
