1. These are great I have purchase several of these crates both for ammo and for storage. So why these instead of cheaper storage bins? Well they hold a lot of weight, have good latches and handles. I like that they can be locked and with a couple of locks and a cable you have some security so there a little harder to walk away with. These boxes are weather resistant but not waterproof or submersible. They stack really well so that’s another plus for me. I pulled off the stickers and store camping supplies and food in the larger ones and ammo in the smaller ones. This one holding ammo. is a USA made 5 star product.
2. Very good for ammo storage. You can store about 1 inch above the lip, the top is bowed out to allow space. Good handles on both sides and double latches. Like this so much I ordered another after this one arrived. Now I have two, very sturdy and the handles make it easy to pick up and maneuver. One box has an assortment of 22 ammo with 3,500 rounds. The other has all CCI mini-mag and it holds 11 boxes in each row (7 across and 4 perpendicular) These rows are 3 deep for a total of 3,300 rounds. Looking for something a little smaller for my 45 cal ammo. I feel confident that MTM will have a crate to fit this ammo too.
