OKLAHOMA CALENDER PLATE-1909-E.M.Best-Dry Goods-Buffalo-Colorful
Offered is a selection consisting of a vintage  Oklahoma Calendar Plate dating from early 1900s. The lot includes:
1)—An 8 1/2” diameter white china plate featuring a series of calendar pages dating the year 1909, surrounded by colorful holly leaves and berries, having a bird in flight in the center, holding a banner in it’s mouth reading 1909. Lightly stenciled in gold print in center is “Compliments Of / E.M.Best / Dry Goods, Groceries, Queens- / Ware, Shoes & Notions / Buffalo, Okla.”. No makers mark on back, the standard light age crazing is present throughout surface. This plate dates from the first couple years of the founding of this small , Western Oklahoma town. Cool looking plate!
