Description
Being offered is a vintage pair of earrings. These are marked Sancrest, which was a jewelry line made by the Sanford & Co. jewelers. The company produced this line from 1951 to 1954, and was located in Los Angeles, California. The company itself was in operation from the 1920's to the 1960's. The Sancrest line was produced to compete with the Fred Harvey era Indian jewelry, and sold at hotels and restaurants run by the Fred Harvey Company, along the Santa Fe Railroad lines. Their early jewelry was crafted of coin silver and real turquoise stones but after 1954 began producing the cheaper looking faux silver and turquoise Indian jewelry found in shops along route 66. These are the old clip on style earrings, made of coin silver and petit point turquoise stone settings. Please note, these are not Native Indian made earrings. They are approx. 1 1/2" by 7/8'.Please feel free to contact me with any questions about my items. I stand behind my merchandise and provide a full refund if items are not as described.
