    Description

    VINTAGE Irish/SCOTTISH 10KT Yellow Gold PENANNULAR CELTIC BROOCH CLOAK PIN Signed JB.  Research shows that the hallmark include a side o which dates to 1969.  The gold marks are 417 and a 10 which stands for 10Kt gold.  There is a figure which is identified as Hibernia which is the official mark for Dublin Assay office. There was a gold Jeweler that hallmark was JB in the 1800's that used such a hallmark but I'm not sure if they were in business in 1969.  The pin weighs approximately 1/4 OZ.  The pin is in good vintage condition.  According to the site I used the side o date it was from Birmingham England.   That is the most I could find on the hallmarks but I also found this type of pin was created in silver more than gold to this gold pin would be harder to find.  This was from an estate of an elderly couple that traveled extensively.
