Vintage U.S. Navy Wood Storage Box Foot Locke Storage Chest

This is a vintage U.S. Navy, wood storage box.  It has a lid, but could be used as a foot locker or storage chest.  More likely, it was used to transport items.  The box is wood which has been painted (although the paint has been scrapped off in many places.  The sides are metal.  Please see photos for details on condition and make your own determination as to what the box was used for.  Thanks for looking and please message us with questions.
