Vintage Vollrath Stainless Steel Jug or Decanter
Water Server with Lid 2 Quart Capacity
Featured in this listing is a vintage lidded stainless steel water pitcher or decanter made by the Vollrath company of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This is a simple design that features a lid which also can serve as a cup. The proportions are very pleasing and unpretentious, yet very classic. Originally these decanters were made for use in hospitals.
This water pitcher stands about 7-1/2” tall with the lid x 3-3/4” base diameter and weighs 1 pound 13 ounces. Liquid capacity is 2 quarts (32 oz). As pictured above, the pitcher is marked on the bottom '6841, Stainless Steel, VOLLRATH (logo) Sheboygan Wis'.
This is a vintage pitcher that has seen a good deal of use over the years and is in quite good condition. There are tiny dents on the lid and light surface wear overall, plus a slight wobble when placed on a flat surface. Having said all that, there is nothing to detract from the overall attractiveness of this pitcher.
