    Description

Vintage WOOD FOOT LOCKER Military US Army Trunk Chest dovetailed-Fort Lee
Nicely constructed with dovetailing joints.  Not sure of the age on this, the dovetailing leads me to believe this is quite an old military chest (earlier than 1950).  It has a Camp Lee Footlocker display and Field display diagram within the chest.  Includes original 3 section tray with dovetail joints also.
Used shape.  Does have wear from use, storage and age.  Comes exactly as pictured.  No refunds on this as it is exactly as shown.
    This measures roughly 30" x 17.5" x 13".
A nice ebayer let me know the following:  "
hey , cool foot locker. camp lee became fort lee when it was made a permanent base in 1950. so foot locker predates that. the initials i see at the top of the trunk, what are they? it is my guess that this particular trunk belonged to one of the school houses located at camp lee during ww2. that would explain its more durable build the standard footlocker of the 1940s. also the diagrams are common in military school houses where your stuff will be inspected frequently. even today there was a similar diagram for how my wall locker was to be displayed at the NCO ACADEMY. THAT is a very interesting piece as it is not standard army issue. just wanted to give you some info to help u date it."
