    Description

This is a framed print of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas. On December 9, 1531, some 12 years after Cortes arrived in Mexico, a peasant named Juan Diego encountered a woman on Tepeyac Hill who identified herself as the Virgin Mary. His story was verified by the Catholic Church through a miracle that was performed. This portrait was done by the artist, Vaquel ch. Lane and reproduced in Limited Edition on heavy matte paper and mounted on stretched canvas, matted and framed in gold painted wood. It is numbered, titled and signed by the artist. It is numbered in the lower left 33/100. It is signed in the lower right by Vaquel Ch. Lane and dated 2009. It is titled in the center bottom with "VIRGEN  DE GUADALUPE". The frame is 22.5 X 18". The artwork is 16 X 10.5"
