    Description

    Used, empty U.S. mortar shell artillery box.  Roughly 13" long x 22 5/8" high x 5 1/4" wide.  81mm HE M889A1.  Sticker has graph and instructions.  "3 cartridge W/ fuzed PD M935 For Mortar M252".  Can marked "WT 55 LBS".  The can has a nice dual, positive locking, ratchet type lock that feels very secure.  Heavy duty construction, not like the typical ammo can.  Handles attached to the box separate from the lid.  Lid is completely removable and has a gasket that is still pliable.  This is one big ammo can, almost 2 feet high!  I didn't try to remove the red paint, but I think it would come off with the right product.  Good dry box for hunting equipment or storing anything.
